If Switzerland had a crown, Svarts could be its jewel: carved by Romain Siegenthaler, polished by Julien Fehlmann and carried by singer Saskia von Fliedner. The music of Svarts is a blend of electronica and shoegaze, which may be categorized as dream pop. Intimate and rich, Svarts's prose delicately describes silent stories and dramas lived in the inner-self. Sitting at the intersection of music genres, Svarts elegantly knits it's craft in an exquisite and delicate fashion. The collective's trademark lies in its ability to subtly lay down catchy melodies on top of complex Arrangements.
'Geography' is the latest effort of Swiss collective Svarts. 'Geography' comes to light after a long metamorphosis, a nurturing nymphal stage that led to the resurgence of the collective in an utterly graceful fashion. Inspired by Boards of Canada's Geogaddy as much as My Bloody Valentine's Loveless, the collective, yet again, meanders between styles without ever losing their own.
