SKILTRON from Argentina are heroes of the South American folk metal scene quite a few years now and have gained much respect and a loyal fanbase through their slot as backing band for former SKYCLAD singer Martin Walkyer on the South American dates of his world tour a couple of years ago. "Into the battleground" now is their fourth album loaded to the max with powerful, hard driving and pugnacious anthems that consist of strong and still melodic heavy metal and emotionally churning celtic folk in equal parts. And while the metal part gets performed by the classic heavy metal band line up, the elements of folk music are carefully added by traditional instruments of the celtic hemisphere such as bagpipe, tin whistle and fiddle. SKILTRON are ready for their showcase at the renowned HEADBANGERS OPEN AIR 2013 and eager to enchant all the present metal heads with their furious folk metal hymns.
