BRAND NEW ALBUM FROM CLASSIC SOUNDING NWOBHM INFLUENCED SWEDES PRODUCED BY THE LEGENDARY FREDRIK NORDSTROMMean Streaks debut album "Metal Slave" (released in 2009 in Europe & US by Black Lodge, released 2010 in Japan through Bickee Music) caused a big stir in the world of metal with their 80´s influenced heavy metal. Rewarded with amazing reviews (8/10 Rock Hard, 89/100 Burrn Magazine), the band started to get a lot of airplay, including getting a couple of songs aired on Iron Maiden-frontman Bruce Dickinsons show on BBC 6. Playing a lot of shows after the album release brought the band together as a very solid and tight live-combo. In January 2011, Mean Streak declare war. The band´s new album "Declaration Of War" is the first one to feature new lead guitarists Patrik Gardberg (Solution 45, Ammotrack, Divinefire) & David Andersson (Soilwork, Bjorn Strid). The epic songwriting by founder/bassplayer Peter Andersson & vocalist Andy LaGuerin combined with the mind blowing twin guitar assault gives you an album that takes their classic NWOBHM-sound to an even higher level than before. The 11 brand new tracks on "Declaration Of War" contain all the classic trademarks of an 80´s style record with breathtaking vocals & skilful musicianship all wrapped together in a very strong and modern-sounding production. "Declaration Of War" was recorded at Downland Studio by Peter Andersson. Once again Fredrik Nordstrom, world famous for his work with In Flames & Hammerfall among others, was hired to mix the album. Mean Streak will tour extensively during 2011 with shows already booked in Japan in January. They will hit Europe during spring/summer, dates will be presented in the near future.
