Jethro Tullâs legacy may have started out by weaving faux-mediaeval romps with psychedelic rock, but with Ian Andersonâs one-legged madcap virtuosity, and the visceral backing of Martin Barreâs ferocious fretwork, they survived their own expectations and most of their contemporaries with a career that spanned over four decades!
Presented here in superb fidelity, cementing the pastoral dimension of the band's sound with a selection of live wonders from their first three albums (This Was, Stand Up, Benefit), performed live on consecutive tours around the world from 1968 to 1970. That such eccentric grandeur sadly missing from much of our lives these days, is a good enough reason to put some back in by putting this wonderful record on!
