A sign, a warning, a stark reminder of what once was and will never be again! Heimdalls Wacht return after a seven year absence and are again assaulting the world with their vision of underground metal. Sonic expressions of world weariness! Screaming desperation! Crushing rage! Ethereal melancholy! The bands lyrics and music express deep feelings of discomfort with the dreariness of the zeitgeist and the intellectual monotony of the masses. Having nothing but contempt in their hearts for modern consumerism that eschews personal happiness and ignores a person’s inner wealth. Culture - decline - decay - tragedy - contempt - rebellion - the feeling to be lost in the modern world... All of these are aspects that can be found in Heimdall Wacht's concept. The neo-romantic art project is based on the analogy that Heimdall awakens from his long sleep as a ragged figure and looks at this new world that is no longer his full of incomprehension, melancholy and anger. In terms of lyrical content, HW has therefore dealt with topics such as nature, lost cultures, paganism itself and the problems of a modernized world with reductionist materialism. In recent years there has been an increased interest in occult topics and cross-cultural spirituality. They also take up genuinely romantic themes, with the focus on German romanticism and, above all, the naturalphilosophical concepts of Ludwig Tieck, the abyss of human existence in E.T.A. Hoffmann, but also literary nihilism like Klingemann. Heimdall's Watch rejects political concepts that are aimed at a modern mass society and restrict the individual! Individuality is the greatest asset for the realization of individual art! Heimdalls Wacht sees itself as a neo-romantic art project and as an aesthetic escape point from this world - and is therefore contemporary, untimely and timeless at the same time! Three singers demonstrate one of the greatest vocal ranges that has ever been heard within the genre, supporting the musical variety that makes the group unforgettable for many fans. Wiborg is known for his contributions to Sumerian Tombs and is reminiscent of our former singer Skjeld with his powerful voice - Sarolf is reminiscent of HW veteran Narhemoth with his high-pitched screams and is known for his work with Waldschrat. These voices are complemented by the well-known choir and melodic voices of Saruman and background voices of Herjann. In this way, on the one hand, a new era in Heimdalls Wacht's work has started, and on the other hand, the legacy of past publications is respected. The production of the current album "Mystagogie - Songs Full of Eternity" surpasses the band´s previous efforts and shows a new level of sound quality. The recordings were made in the Tom Meier Studio (also used by Asphyx) and were mixed/mastered in the renowned Stage One Studio under the direction of the internationally renowned Andy Classen (Krisiun, Asphyx, Belphegor etc.).
