DRUDKH are a true underground phenomenon. Despite having nearly no advertising or promotion the Ukrainians managed to sell thousands of records on word of mouth within and beyond the Black Metal scene. DRUDKH’s first release after signing to Season of Mist saw a luxurious solid wood-box edition limited to 500 copies of “Microcosmos” already sold out before its official release. Due to the great cooperation the Ukrainians agreed to re-release their complete catalogue on this label, which started in 2009 with the debut “Forgotten Legends” (2003) and its follow-up “Autumn Aurora” (2004). Now DRUDKH’s much sought after third album “The Swan Road” (2005) is made available again by Season of Mist with a carefully restored and remastered sound and comes in beautiful digipak edition with new artwork added. “The Swan Road” continues with the band’s trademark of Slavonic Pagan Metal. Lyrically DRUDKH’s creative figurehead Roman Sayenko draws heavily from the poem “The Haidamakas” of Taras Shevchenko (1814-1861), a humanist, painter and the founding father of Ukrainian literature. Let DRUDKH draw you onto “The Swan Road” to discover freedom, self determination and enlightenment cast into glorious musical shape!
