SUPERB JAPANESE BROADCAST FROM DEF LEPPARD’S EUPHORIA TOUR"Euphoria", the seventh studio album by Def Leppard, was released on 8 June 1999 in the United States and on 14 June in the UK. The album aimed to return to the band’s signature sound, made famous by them in the 1980s. It was produced by the group with Pete Woodroffe, and charted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200, and No. 11 on the UK Albums Chart. Leppard’s Euphoria Tour began in the USA on 3rd July ’99 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and continued zig-zagging across North America throughout July, August and the first half of September ‘99. But on 24th September, the boys touched down in Japan, where they performed a further eight dates in Nagoya, Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and Yokohama. The finest of these Japanese concerts occurred on 1st October 1999, at Tokyo’s prestigious Kokusai Forum, one of three nights Leppard played in Japan’s capital city. The 1st October show was recorded for live FM Broadcast across Japan, and is now released on vinyl for the first time on this new two-instalment set.
