THE CLASSIC 1985 BRIXTON BROADCASTThe charity show featured on this double LP took place at London’s Brixton Academy on 2nd November 1985, featuring Townshend's legendary ‘Deep End’ band, with Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, a crack rhythm section and The Kickhorns five-piece brass section, making a perfect complement to Townshend's passionate vocals and manic guitar runs. An eclectic mix of covers, rarities and originals made for one hell of a party in South East London on this cold winter night more than 35 years ago, and it is abundantly clear from the audience reaction that all present had a ball.
