Brave New World, Iron Maiden’s twelfth studio album, was released on 29 May 2000, and was Maiden’s first studio release since the return of long time lead singer Bruce Dickinson (who left in 1993) and guitarist Adrian Smith (who left in 1990), as well as the band's first studio recording as a six-piece - as Janicki Gers, who replaced Smith in 1990, remained with the band. The Brave New World Tour was performed in support of the album, during which the show at Rock in Rio, Brazil, was recorded and later released as a live album and video. Brave New World peaked at No. 7 in the UK Albums Chart, and has since been certified Gold. In the United States, it debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard 200, and registered over 307,000 sales on the Nielsen SoundScan system in 2008. The tour began on 2 June 2000 and ended on 19 January 2001. The final leg of the tour was the Latin America leg, which started on 9th Jan ’01 in Mexico City, and moved on to Buenos Aires, Santiago and Rio on subsequent days. The Buenos Aires show was a truly unforgettable concert, which took place at the José Amalfitano Stadium in this delightful city, and was recorded for live FM Radio Broadcast across Argentina.Previously unreleased, this incredible show is now available for the first time on this new 2CD set.
