Minor Majority debuted in 2001 with the album Walking Home from Nicole's and have released seven critically acclaimed albums. The band has played over 700 concerts and toured all over Europe, and have a large audience, especially in France and Germany. With songs like Dancing in the Backyard, Come Back to Me, (In That) Premature Way, and not least Supergirl, Minor Majority helped define the first musical decade of the new millennium in their native Norway.
Minor Majority's eighth album The Universe Would Have to Adjust is marked by two major changes - one external and one internal - the corona pandemic and the difficulties it has lead to for bandf playing live and working in the studio, and a replacement in the band; In the wake of Minor Majority's Norwegian tour in 2019, original guitarist Jon Arild Nupen-Stieng chose to leave the band. Producer Roar Nilsen is now also the band’s guitarist.The Universe Would Have to Adjust consists of nine new songs. In addition to the regular band members, Kristine Marie Asvang (The Secret Sound of Dreamwalkers) and longtime collaborator Karen Jo Fields also contribute with vocals on four and two songs, respectively. The quartet Oslo Session Strings contributes with strings on two songs, Geir Sundstøl with Pedal Steel on one.
